Fourteen members of the Fascist Party who were seen dining in a Venice restaurant with Jews have been expelled from the party “for lack of Fascist conscience,” the Italian newspaper Popolo di Roma reaching here today reports. The restaurant was closed down temporarily for accommodating the group.

The Italian press also reports the closing of the recruiting office which the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem set up in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, to enlist Moslems for an Arab Legion to fight with the Axis armies. The office was closed “due to lack of volunteers,” the Italian newspapers state.
