Nazis Burning Jews Alive in Eastern Galicia, Jewish Agency Hears

Underground reports reaching the Jewish Agency here today from Nazi-held Poland state that the Nazis are avenging their military defeats on the Russian front by “burning alive thousands of Jews in Eastern Galicia.’ No details were given by a spokesman of the Jewish Agency who made the announcement to representatives of the Jewish press.

Reports reaching Jewish leaders from Poland here during the last few days confirm that the Nazis are now concentrating on the Jews in Galicia where the entire Jewish population has been isolated in twelve ghettos in the larger cities and in about twenty small centers designated as “Jewish townships.”
