Bulgaria Imposes 36,000,000 Levas Fine Upon Jews; Deportations Continue

Stefani, official Italian news agency, reports from the Bulgarian capital of Sofia today that 36 Jews have been fined 1,000,000 levas each for alleged violations of the anti-Jewish economic restrictions.

It is also reported that several aged Jews among those being deported from Bulgaria to Poland for forced labor, have died on board a tug travelling along the Danube River, into which they were jammed together with hundreds of other deportees.
