The Berlin radio demanded today that “just retribution” be inflicted upon the Jews for the bombing of the Eder and Monene Dams. Referring to the article in the London press yesterday, which revealed that a German-Jewish refugee physician suggested the bombing, the Nazi broadcaster stated that “this leaves no doubt that the crime was incited by Jews.” He added that “the debit account of the Jews in this war is growing bigger and bigger, thanks to the Jews themselves.”

In a letter to the London Times today, Lord Winster, a retired naval officer, condemns the press for publishing the story concerning the refugee doctor, stating that it can only result in savage reprisals against the Jews in Europe. “Moreover,” he adds, “such statements make us appear extremely stupid. We have had a target committee sitting for years before the war, Is it to be supposed that we only heard of the dams four years after the war began?”
