The Australian Government is now studying a memorandum on means of saving the Jews in Europe submitted by local Jewish leaders, it was announced here today by Minister of Health Holloway. The minister added that the members of the Cabinet are all in sympathy with the contents of the memorandum.

It is believed here that the Australian Government is prepared to ease its immigration regulations after the war to permit large-scale settlement of Jews in sparsely inhabited sections of the country. Negotiations to this effect are now in progress between representatives of Jewish organizations and leading members of the government.
