Leaders of Reform Judaism Negotiate for Peace on Zionism; Progress Reported

Progress was reported here today in connection with negotiations initiated by Adolph Rosenberg, president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, to achieve peace within Reform Judaism on the question of Zionism.

A sub-committee which met here to draft a program on the Union of American Hebrew Congregations’ attitude on Palestine and post-war rehabilitation of the Jews in Europe, was reported today as having reached an agreement. When approved by the executive board of the U. of A. H. C., the program will be communicated to the American Jewish Conference and given as the Union’s instructions to its delegates to the Conference.

The sub-committee consists of Adolph Rosenberg, Rabbi Barnett Brickner, Rabbi Maurice Eisendrath, Dr. Julian Morgenstern, Judge Horace Stern, Rabbi Louis Wolsey, Rabbi James G. Heller, Rabbi Solomon Freehof, Rabbi Louis Egelson and Rabbi William Fineshreiber.
