Fifty-thousand copies of a booklet “Jews and the Sea” will be distributed by the Chaplain’s office of the U.S. Navy to Jewish midshipmen, bluejackets and coast guards, it was announced here today. The booklet contains factual material on maritime activities in Palestine, and carries a short historical survey of the Jews in navigation-past and present-including an article on the Jews in the U.S. Navy. It is published by the American Zionist Youth Commission and edited by S. Bardin, executive director of the Commission which has been established jointly by the ZOA and Hadassah.
