Archbishop Spellman Asked Turkey to Admit Jews to Asia Minor, Nazis Report

A report that Archbishop Spellman of New York, who is now visiting various parts of the world on special undisclosed mission, utilized his stay in Turkey to sound out the Turkish Government on the question of settling European Jews in Asia Minor, was disseminated today by Transocean, a Nazi news agency.

Simultaneously, the Axis radio stations, broadcasting in Arabic, attacked the Turkish Government today for ordering its consulates in the Balkan countries to issue transit visas to Jews who can prove that they will be admitted to Palestine.
