Nazis Make Belgium “judenrein”; Deport 52,000 Jews to Camps in Occupied Lands

Practically all the Jews of Belgium have been deported by the Nazis to various concentration camps in occupied Poland and the Ukraine, it was announced here today by the Belgian Government-in-Exile on the basis of information which has just reached here.

The announcement estimated that about 52,000 Jews have been expelled by the Nazis from Belgium, leaving the country almost “judenrein,” in accordance with plans prepared in Berlin. The deportations started a year ago and are practically completed by now, the underground report said.
