More than 36,000 adult Jews, comprising a majority of the adult Jewish population of the Union of South Africa, have signed the declaration being circulated by the Zionist Federation here, asking for the opening of Palestine to Jewish immigration, establishment of a Jewish National Home there and the formation of a Jewish Army, it was announced today. Zionist circles point out that never before has there been such a wide-spread response to Zionist demands.

The first model training farm for Zionist youths who plan to emigrate to Palestine after the war has been established in South Africa. Called Kfar Balfouria, it is located on the outskirts of Johannesburg.
