Australian Trade Union Congress Denounces Spread of Anti-semitism

The annual congress of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, meeting here, adopted a resolution denouncing anti-Semitism, which, it said, “has been noticeable here recently.” The delegates denied allegations that Jewish employers were guilty of unfair labor practices.

Twenty-three prominent Christians today cabled to Prime Minister Churchill urging him to offer sanctuary in Palestine to Jews being deported by the Bulgarian authorities, and to use British influence to secure Turkish transit visas for the Jews.
