A “Palestine-Russia” exhibition designed to cement friendly relations between the two countries will open here at the Habimah Building on Sunday. Among the material on display will be an hitherto unpublished exchange of letters between Sholem Aleichem and Leo Tolstoy and Maxim Gorky, and also a copy of the “black book” issued last year by the Soviet Foreign Commissariate relating the details of the Nazi persecution of Jews and other civilians in occupied Russian territory.

It was announced in Jerusalem today that the Jewish Agency, the Jewish National Council, the Jewish National Fund and the Palestine Foundation Fund will inscribe the name of the late Major Victor Cazalet in the JNF Golden Book. Major Cazalet, a long time supporter of Zionist aspirations, was killed in the crash of General Wladyslaw Sikorski’s plane.
