Connecticut Governor Names Committee to Investigate Racial Discrimination

Gov. Raymond Baldwin has named a 10-man committee to investigate charges of racial discrimination in war and other industries in Connecticut.

The committee, authorized by the Legislature, is charged with investigating the possibility of affording equal opportunity of job training and with compiling “facts concerning discrimination in employment, violation of civil liberties and other related matters.”
