Secretary of State Cordell Hull will receive tomorrow in Washington a delegation of the Emergency Committee to Save the Jewish People which will submit to him the resolutions adopted at the recent conference of the Committee in New York, it was announced here today. The announcement said that Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt has agreed to broadcast a message of hope and encouragement to the Jewish people of Europe over short-wave radio.
“The Emergency Committee is working on a plan for aggressive action by the forces of public opinion toward immediate implementation of its demand for the creation of an Intergovernmental Agency specifically charged with the task of aiding the Jews of Europe marked for total extermination at the hands of the Germans,” the announcement added.
At a meeting today of the executive board of the Emergency Committee, it was reported that Mr. Arich Ben-Eliezer, a member of this body, will leave for the Middle East to survey conditions there and report back to the Committee.
