Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden, who is now on his way back to London from the Moscow tri-partite conference, today informed Chief Rabbi Hertz, through the Foreign Office, that he will assist in the effort to secure exit visas from Russia for refugee rabbis stranded there.
The British Foreign Secretary also informed the Chief Rabbi that he will see to it that the rabbis permitted to emigrate from Russia are admitted to Australia. He indicated that negotiations to this effect are being conducted with the Australian Government.
