Leaders of the World Zionist executive are conducting “earnest negotiations” with the Zionist-Revisionists in Palestine for the purpose of achieving unity, and are ready to grant the Revisionists Representation in all bodies of the Zionist Organization , it was reported at a press conference here today by N. Kirchner, chairman of the executive of the South African Zionist Federation, upon his return from Palestine.
Mr. Kirchner said that the Jews in Palestine are pessimistic about Britain’s willingness to annul the White Paper. Queried concerning rumors of a new partition scheme for Palestine, he stated that the partition idea is being “widely canvassed in various circles” but no definite statement on it has as yet come from authoritative quarters. The Palestine Government , he charged, is not cooperating sufficiently in curbing the rising cost of living which is seriously affecting the economic position of the country.
