All Rumanian Jews in occupied Greece were rounded up by the Gestapo last week and deported to a concentration camp at an “unknown destination,” it was reported here today by the Greek Government-in-Exile. Rumanian Jews had not been molested up to now, because of their status as nationals of an Axis country.

Yugoslav officers are charged with training Jewish men in Palestine for guerilla warfare against the Nazis in the Balkans by the newspaper Hrvatski Narod, organ of the Croat puppet premier, Ante Pavelitch, which reached here today. The pro-Nazi paper says that “according to Arab sources,” the Jews in Palestine have approached Greek and Yugoslav officers in the Near East with a proposal that they train Jewish guerillas. “It is not known whether the Greeks agreed to this proposal, but it is definitely known that a number of Serbian officers are secretly training Jewish soldiers in the technique of Chetnik warfare,” the paper writes.
