Assumption of the Palestine Mandate by the United States after the war might be a solution to the Palestine problem, it was suggested by Major H. A. Proctor, Conservative M. P., addressing a meeting of the Anglo-Palestine Club.
Another solution, he said, would be for Britain to adopt “strong measures” to crush all rebellion and establish a firm government with full implementation of the Balfour Declaration.
