Rabbi Joseph Konvitz, president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, died yesterday at his summer home here. He was 66 years old. Born in Lithuania, Dr. Konvitz. came to the United States in 1915. He served as rabbi of several New Jersey congregations, and became president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis in 1933.
