The participation of Jews in all branches of the Allied armed forces which are battling the Germans in Normandy, was described here in a message received from Simon Blumenfeld, who until recently was active in Jewish affairs in London and who is participating in the invasion.
Blumenfeld, who crossed the Channel twice last week on a special invasion mission reported that while travelling he met many Jewish officers and soldiers “all fighting so that Jews can live freely side by side with every nationality.” He emphasized that the number of Jews among the paratroopers was especially large.
