Roosevelt Nominates Carusi As Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization

Ugo Carusi was nominated by President Roosevelt to succeed Earl G. Harrison as Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization. The nomination was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee for consideration. Carusi has served as executive assistant to five attorney generals.
