Polish Jews in Russia Organize Committee to Represent Their Interests

The organization of a central committee of polish Jews in the U.S.S.R. under the auspices of the Union of Polish Patriots which is recognized by the Soviet Government was announced here today.

The Committee, which will represent the interests of Polish Jews who have been living in Russia since the outbreak of the war in 1939, is composed of the following: Dr. Emil Sommerstein, former member of the Polish parliament who is now one of the leaders of the Polish Committee for National Liberation; Ida Kaminska, noted Jewish actress; Rabbi Steinberg; Moshe Broderson, Jewish poet; Efraim Kaganowski, Jewish novelist; Major Leib Finkelstein; Leo Finkelstein; Ber Mark; Dr. Shulfreind; Dr. S. Sfard; Rabbi Stshetatsh; Rachel Kron, Simon Zakha Ziash; Joseph Rubinstein; Moishe Melman.
