British Jews marked the fifth anniversary of the war at services in synagogues throughout the country yesterday. Although the bulk of the congregations were aged men and women, the services were attended by many American, Canadian and other Allied calling on Jews ” to rise in despair and demand Justice for their brethren crying for help while the gates of Palestine remain closed.”
