A Jewish delegation consisting of Dr. Ignacy Schwerzbert and Anselm Raise, Polish-Jewish leaders, will shortly proceed to France to investigate the conditions of thousands of Polish Jews in Paris who are reported to be ill and virtually destitute, it was learned here today. There are also about 6,000 to 8,000 Polish Jews in Brussels requiring assistance. Dr. Sehwarzbert today appealed to Jewish organizations to send aid to these people as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the Council for the Rescue of Polish Jewry, appointed several months ago by the Polish Government-in-Exile, issued on appeal to the military leaders of the United Nations of rescue the Jews confined in the Oswiecin concentration camp and other camps in Poland. These Jews face imminent execution, the appeal said.
