A history of the Jews in the United States, by Anita Lebeson, will be published by the B’nai B’rith Hillel Commission, it was decided at its annual meeting. The meeting also decided to publish a volume on contemporary Jewish problems by Rabbi Jacob Weinstein.
The commission also resolved to institute an inquire as to the possibility of extending Hillel service to the universities of Latin America. At present, the Hillel service is given to 53,000 students on 118 college campuses in the United States and Canada where the B’nai B’rith maintains Hillel Foundations and Counselorships. The meeting re-elected Henry Monsky as chairman of the Hillel Commission.
