Victory of Connecticut Representative Brings Number of Jews in Congress to Eight

With final returns disclosing that Herman P. Koppelmen has been elected to represent Connecticut’s First District in the House of Representatives, the number of Jewish Congressmen in the 79th Congress has reached eight. Koppelman was a member of the 77th Congress, but was defeated when he ran for re-election in 1942.
