Between 100,000 and 120,000 Jews can still be saved from Nazi territory in Europe, if effective measures are taken within the next three months, Dr. Abraham Silberschein, a former Jewish member of the Polish parliament who arrived here from Switzerland last week, told a press conference yesterday.
Dr. Silberschein, while in Switzerland, was engaged in rescuing Jews from occupied Europe. He said that Jews are still to be found in occupied Poland, especially in the Czenstochow district, and that a limited number of Jews are still in Germany and in Austria. He emphasized that huge amounts of money will be necessary to continue the rescue work. The press conference was arranged by the World Jewish Congress.
