The War Refugee Board declared today that everything possible and feasible, and consistent with the winning of the war, is being done to rescue the Jews in German-occupied territory.
In answer to the plea of the American Jewish Conference that rescue work be continued, the board said that “this Government will continue its efforts to save the Jews and other victims of Nazi oppression remaining in enemy Europe.”
