The civilized world must guarantee to the Jewish people full opportunity to establish a national homeland in Palestine, it was stated today in a resolution adopted at a meeting here of representatives of the Socialist Parties of Britain, France, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Poland – including representatives of the Jewish Socialist Bund – and Palestine.
The resolution was adopted after speakers representing the Jewish Bund and the Palestine Socialists, had discussed the various aspects of the Jewish problem. The meeting also passed a resolution stressing that the international labor movement never countenanced discrimination between persons of different races and creeds and had always supported the principle of equality of rights and opposed anti-Semitism. Full reparations for crimes committed by the Germans was also demanded by the delegates.
