Download PDF for this date

The split within the Histadruth, resulting from differences between the dominant Palestine Labor Party and opposition groups, has been settled by a compromise agreement under which the left groups receive more seats in the central committee of the Histadruth. The committee now consists of the following 18 represantatives of the Labor Party; six of the Movement for Labor Unity, which constitutes the opposition within the Labor Party; five of the Heshomer Hazair; two of the Left Poale-Zion; and one cach of the Oved Hazioni and the Aliyah Hadasha.
