The World Jewish Congress has embarked-upon a program for the educational, cultural and spiritual rehabilitation of Jews in the war-torn countries of Europe and North Africa it was announced today by Dr. Mahum Goldwann, chairman of its executive committee. Appropriations are being allesated to a new Department of Culture and Education to help build or support schools, train teachers, furnish textbooks and supply other literature necessary for the survival of Judaism in war-torn communities impoverished by the war directly or indirectly, the announcement said.
