200 Jewish Refugees from Europe Arrive in Canada En Route to United States

A group of 200 Jewish refugees arrived today at a Canadian port on route to the United States. They were met by Bernard Euroblith, New York representative of the Hias and by a representative of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society of Canada. The arrivals, most of whom are elderly people, are bound for various parts of the United States. Those planning to settle in New York will be mot there by relatives, while others will be taken to the Hias shelter until transportation can be arranged.
