Free emigration to Palestine for Jews who desire to do so, and equal rights for all who wish to remain in the country were demanded today by the central committee of the Rumanian Democratic Party in a resolution dealing with the situation of Jews in Rumania.
The resolution also suggested that Jews be given the status of a national minority if they so desire. The entire concept of minority status was abolished several months ago by the Rumanian Government. In the section on emigration, the resolution also backed establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine.
