An immigration quota system which would not discriminate on the basis of race, color or religion has been suggested by the national conference of the Federated Ironworkers Association.

The secretary of the association, E. Thornton, recently attacked Australia’s policy of excluding non-Caucasian immigrants. Thornton will represent the powerful Australasian Council of Trade Unions at the World Trade Union Conference in Paris in September.
