South African Jews Urge Smuts to Press Britain to Lift Palestine Immigration Bars

The Board of Deputies of South African Jews has cabled Prime Minister Smuts, who is now in London, asking him to intervene with the British Government to secure lifting of restrictions on Jewish immigration into Palestine, it was announced today.

At the same time, the Zionist Federation here announced that a three-man delegation, headed by the federation’s president, N. Kirschner, is leaving shortly for London to attend the world Zionist conference which is to be open there on July 30.
