Argentine Jews Urged to Form United Relief Body Along Lines of American UJA

Pointing to the United Jewish Appeal in the United States as an example, Rabbi Joseph Lookstein, who is here on a mission for the Joint Distribution Committee, urged Argentine Jews to unite their various relief activities.

The responsibility of the Argentine Jews to the Jews of Europe is great, because they now constitute one of the largest Jewish communities in the world, Rabbi Lookstein said. He denied charges, which he said had been spread in South American, that the JDC was anti-Zionist.
