Eliahu Dobkin, chief of the immigration department of the Jewish Agency, disclosed here today that British and American authorities have promised to facilitate the emigration, within the next month, of 2,000 holders of Palestine immigration certificates.
The emigrants, who will embark in France, are in Belgium, Switzerland and various camps in Germany, Mr. Dobkin said. He had high praise for the cooperation of British and American civil and military authorities who helped organize the transport of 1,166 persons which arrived in Palestine yesterday from Marseille.
The Agency immigration lead, who will visit Belgium, Holland and Germany within the next few weeks, left today for Switzerland to inquire into the conditions of the 22,000 Jewish refugees there, 1,350 of whom have Palestine visas.
