Informed observers here today predicted that two news will be included in the new Labor government being formed by Maj. Clement R. (##). They are Emanuel Shinwell, who is said to be slated for the post of Minister of War Transport and Lewis Silkin, present chairman of the London County Council’s Housing Committee, who is expected to become Minister of Works and Building.

Maj. Attlee today received a cable from the Egyptian delegation en route to the World Zionist Conference, stating that “we trust you will accomplish to your full facility the decisions to establish a Jewish-state in Palestine, and immediately open the gates of our historic fatherland to free Jewish immigration, thus restoring to the people of Israel the freedom and honor of which they were robbed two thousand years ago.”
