A five-day national convention of the Pioneer Women’s Organization in the United States and Canada opened here today with 300 delegates from all parts of the country in attendance. The organization is the American counter part of the Jewish Working Women’s Council in Palestine.

Plans for aiding Jewish refugee women and children who recently arrived in Palestine will be formulated at the convention. Principal speakers will include Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver, Hayim Greenberg, and Mrs. Lorna Wingate, widow of the late Maj. Gen. Orde Wingate.
