Intergovernmental Committee for Refugees Gets $12,000,000 Budget for 1946

A twelve-million dollar budget for the work of the Intergovernmental Committee for Refugees in 1946 was adepted here yesterday at a conference of the 37 governments participating in the Committee.

A joint memorandum in behalf of the American Jewish Conference, Board of De(##) of British Jews and the World Jewish Congress was submitted to the conference. The memorandum asked the Intergovernmental Committee to take active steps to improve be legal position of displaced Jews by providing them with identity documents and to deviate their plight, especially during the winter months, pending the recommendation of the Anglo-American inquiry commission.
