Emanuel Neumann has been named to serve as acting president of the Zionist Organization of America during the absence of Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, president, according to an announcement made by Dr. Silver on the eve of his departure for Palestine to attend the plenary sessions of the World Zionist Executive and the Jewish Agency for Palestine.
In a statement which was released here today, Dr. Silver calls upon all American Zionists to give Mr. Neumann full support and to continue their Zionist efforts with ‘redoubled zeal.”
