Former members of the Mandates Commission of the league of Nations may be invited to give testimony before the Anglo-American Inquiry Committee, which sailed today from the United States and is expected to begin hearings here on Jan. 25.

Well-informed circles today indicated that the committee may consider inviting members of the Mandates Commission, who are now in London attending the General Assembly of the United Nations, as experts on trusteeship questions for the various delegations.

Jewish organizations in London are preparing memoranda for the inquiry committee, but each group is expected to testify separately. It has not yet been established whether the Jewish Agency will testify. Among those who will appear at the hearings will be representatives of the Zionist Federation of Great Britain, Mizrachi and the Zionist Laborites.

It was indicated today in British circles that most of the evidence will be heard in public. When this phase is over, the inquiry committee will probably break up into groups and leave for investigations in Europe.
