The situation for Polish Jews is no worse than that of other adherents of the Government, Polish Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Sigiscond Modzelewaski told a press conference here today.
“We want the Jews to stay in Poland because Jews, before their extermination, were engaged in trades which have since disappeared, and which are new needed,” Modzelewaski said. “Also,” he continued, “we feel moral obligations toward the remnants of Jewry.”
