The British Government expects that the Anglo-American Inquiry Committee will recommend an international trusteeship for Palestine, for the partitioning of the country into separate Jewish and Arab states, the Jewish telegraphic Agency learned today.

It is understood that Foreign Minister Bevin could prefer a trusteeship for the time being. He is reported to be willing to share such a trusteeship with the United States as a transitory solution until the partitioning of Palestine is prepared and realized.
