The National Council of Labor, which represents 10,000,000 British workers, today warned that fascist groups must not be permitted to resume their agitation against political and racial groups.

In a letter to Home Secretary James Chuter Ede the Council said that “it could be intolerable if any fascist group was permitted to resume its threat to peace and order or to the political, economic, racial or religious liberties in Britain.” The council added, however, that it did not believe that special legislation was required to curb the fascists.
