“Anti-Semitism has no place in the new Hungarian democracy” and “the Government is determined to protect the nation’s inner tranquility and its reputation abroad against obnoxious race hatred,” Premier Ferenc Nagy said today in an address at Pecs, in Southern Hungary.
In a speech here, Lazlo Stosckler, president of the Jewish community council, demanded that the peace conference, which is to convene in Paris on May 1, consider the following Jewish demands: reparations from Germany, guaranteed racial and religious equality in all countries, protection of minority rights and the right to emigrate freely with all possessions.
