The twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Brooklyn Jewish Center was marked here tonight by a dinner at the Hotel St, George. The dinner, which concluded a three-day celebration of the anniversary, was attended by 1,300 members of the Center.
A message of congratulations was received from President Truman who said, “I trust that the sphere of usefulness of the Center in the spiritual life of the community will ever widen.” Other messages were received from Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Congress and the Jewish Agency, Gov. Thomas E. Deney and Mayor William O’Deyer.
