American Jewish Conference Appeal to Truman to Aid Detained

President Truman was asked today by the American Jewish Conference to intervene on behalf of the Jewish refugees detained at La Spezia so that they may proceed to Palestine, in a telegram sent to the President under the signature of Henry Monsky, chairman of the interim committee of the Conference.
