The Palestine Government has accepted the British Government’s invitation to send representative Palestinian detachments to take part in the British Empire Victory Parade which will take place this June in London.

The Palestine groups will consist of detachments from Palestine regiments, the Arab Legion, and the Palestinian police force. Tentatively each detachment will consist of one officer and 16 enlisted men, eight of whom will be Jews, and eight Arabs. It is anticipated that the Government will have difficulty in finding sufficient Arab soldiers to march in the parade, because all Arabs except 150 have already been discharged. These are either in military hospitals or in detention barracks.

Three hundred Jewish soldiers who enlisted in the British forces in England and are now serving in the Middle East have requested that they be discharged in Palestine. The soldiers, most of whom were refugees in England at the time of their enlistment, have appealed to the Jewish Agency to support their plea for demobilization in Palestine.
