The Zionist Federation of Chile has cabled President Truman and Prime Minister Clement Attlee “indignantly protesting the persecution of Jews in their own fatherland.”
Pointing out that Britain has not lived up to its obligations under the Palestine Mandate, the Zionists urged President Truman to intervene in the present situation. They asked the return of full rights to the Jewish Agency and the Palestine Jews and the abolition of the White Paper.
